Singapore History Museum
Stories depicting the history of Singapore are centred around the Singapore River. An interactive exhibition features mystery games for visitors and there is also a unique 15 minutes short film.

Malay Heritage Centre
The Malay Heritage Centre's daily cultural programme captures the essence and spirit of Malay culture through an entertaining mix of dance, music, poetry, information, demonstrations and interactive participation.

Asian Civilisation Museum (Empress Place)
Housed in a Victorian building which is a National Monument, this museum features history exhibitions of China, Southeast Asia and West Asia. The museum also has hand-on discovery zones and offers a splendid understanding of Singapore.

Singapore Philatelic Museum
This museum displays Singapore's history & heritage through the sticky world of stamps. There are fine collections done by world class philatelists.

Reflection at Bukit Chandu
Located in a restored black and white colonial bungalow, you will come to reflect on Singapore's darkest time during World War II. As well, this museum is near to an old battle ground. It is a good place to reflect upon how Singapore has evolved as a nation post war.

Singapore Art Museum
This 19th century old building displays a collection of 20th century South East Asian modern and also contemporary art. It is the largest collection of its kind in any public institution around the world.

Tan Swie Hian Museum
This is Singapore's first private art museum. It displays the works of an artist named Tan Swie Hian and is one of the rare museums in the world that is dedicated to a living person. Works include portraits and calligraphy.

Singapore Mint Collection Gallery
An impressive collection of coins, medals and medallions from all over the world is found at the Singapore Mint's exhibition gallery. Visitors can mint their own souvenir coins at the gallery's coin press. Opens Monday to Friday from 9am - 4pm. Admission is free
